The Elite Adapter allows you to use devices having a 4 pin power plug (typical on early Xbox 360) with the newer 3 pin power plug found on the Xbox 360 Elite.
The Elite adapter also allows customers to easily add computer fans to their Xbox 360 (provided that the computer fan has a 3 pin power plug).
